Children ages 5 – 10 can enjoy a SCIENTASTIC SUMMER STEM experience at MODS’ summer camp program, presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. At Camp STEAMology, campers will enjoy interactive exploration and hands-on learning opportunities in the coolest camp environment, including a weekly IMAX immersion.

• Expedition: Dinosaur! (June 16 – 20)
• Magical Camp Witches and Wizards (June 23 – 27)
• STEM: Water Play (June 30 – July 3)
• Padawan Academy (July 7 – 11)
• Animal Adventures (July 14 – 18)
• Messy Matter (July 21 – 25)
• LEGO Creation Explosion (July 28 – August 1)
• Enchanted Forests: Myths and Legends (August 4 – 8)

Plus, uncover the mysteries of Earth’s greatest transformation on an epic journey through final days of the dinosaurs during Expedition: Dinosaur – Rise of the Mammals! This captivating traveling exhibit takes you through the moments before, during and after the extinction event that ended the age of the dinosaurs. Guests will marvel at life-size animatronic dinosaurs and mammals, complete with realistic movements and sounds, and delve into fascinating educational and interactive hands-on activities including cutting-edge paleontology experiences as they journey through extinction, evolution and resilience. Developed by Stage Nine Exhibits and locally sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, the exhibit runs through September 1, 2025.

South Florida’s award-winning attraction features 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.

Camp STEAMology weekly camps cost $300 for Museum members and $350 for non-members. Aftercare tuition is $50 per child for the four-day camp and $55 per child for weekly camps. Embark on a roaring adventure through the Museum of Discovery and Science’s Expedition: Dinosaur Rise of the Mammals, where science and fun collide! During Roar & Explore Weekends, you can dig for fossils like a paleontologist, uncover the secrets of how dinosaurs evolved into the animals we know today and explore the incredible story of the extinction event that reshaped life on Earth. Get hands-on with real fossils, make your own shark tooth necklace and investigate prehistoric ecosystems. Meet living dinosaur descendants in thrilling animal encounters, discover the tools and techniques scientists use to uncover ancient secrets and even step into the shoes of a paleontologist in the Dino Dig Pit. Little ones can hatch dinosaur eggs, create fossils and bring dino puppets to life in fun activities just for them. It’s a dino-mite journey full of discovery, science and excitement for all ages!

Expedition: Dinosaur Rise of the Mammals is presented locally by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Explorers also won’t want to miss the new, revolutionary HoloTheater, set to debut this summer with Dinosaur Discoveries: A Holographic Adventure, a stunning visual journey through 140 years of paleontology that brings dinosaurs to life in jaw-dropping fashion. This dynamic and immersive storytelling attraction, the first of its kind on the East Coast of the United States, uses three-dimensional holographic technology, precise laser-projection and video mapping to bring audiences up close and personal to life-size dinosaurs. Developed by BASE Xperiential, producers of mixed-media and live holographic entertainment and brought to market in partnership with MacGillivray Freeman Films (MFF), the world’s foremost independent producer and distributor of giant-screen films, the HoloTheater redefines museum storytelling offering an interactive learning experience that blends advanced holographic projection, panoramic visuals and spatial audio to engage and inspire guests of all ages.
