Over 2,000 Thanksgiving-Style Meals to be served on 3 Combined Campuses

This Friday, April 22, the Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers will hold their annual “Thanksgiving in April” Block Party for the homeless and hungry families of South Florida.

The Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers and over 400 volunteers will provide over 2,000 Thanksgiving-Style meals for the homeless and hungry of Miami-Dade and Broward County on Good Friday. The homeless and hungry families of South Florida will be treated to live entertainment, haircuts, showers and foot care and washing provided by volunteers and Barry University Podiatry Students along with a great Thanksgiving-Style meal on all three campuses.

The Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers realize there are many families and individuals in our community who cannot afford a special dinner. In an effort to help homeless men and women off the street, there will also be intake tables that help inform South Florida’s homeless population of the programs offered by the Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers to those homeless who need help.
