Feeding South Florida’s month-long initiative, Hunger Action Month, is designed to raise awareness about food insecurity in South Florida. As part of Hunger Action Month on Wednesday, Aug. 31, starting at 6 p.m. Kick off Hunger Action Month with Feeding South Florida at Concrete Beach Brewery in Wynwood. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to get their first drink for only $2. Raffle included, with proceeds benefiting Feeding South Florida (one ticket for $5, three for $10). Watch local artist Jenny Perez (http://new.jennyperez.com/) create a special piece of art just for Hunger Action Month.
