Reserve Cares to Host Second Annual “Moonlight Open” in Honor of Charlie Moon, Supporting Leukemia Research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center

Following a Nearly $1M Fundraising Effort in 2025, Reserve Cares Brings the Community Together Once Again for an Evening of Padel, Philanthropy and Purpose

WHO/WHAT: On Friday, November 6, Reserve Cares—the philanthropic arm of Reserve—will host the second annual Moonlight Open at Reserve SoLé Mia, bringing together the community for an evening of world-class padel and philanthropy in support of cancer research at the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Moonlight Open was born from the journey of Charlie Moon, a dear friend and beloved member of the Reserve family whose courage through cancer inspired everyone around him. His story became the heart of the event, growing into something much bigger: a community coming together to support a cause that touches so many lives and creates meaningful impact beyond the court.

Following an extraordinary response to the inaugural Moonlight Open in 2025, when Reserve Cares raised $966,689 in just 12 days for Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, this year’s event will continue building on that momentum.

The 2026 Moonlight Open marks an especially meaningful milestone: Charlie has beaten cancer and will join the event in person. For Charlie, returning to the court carries an entirely new meaning — simply being able to show up, move, play, and be surrounded by the community that supported him is a victory in itself.

“The Moonlight Open is for everyone currently fighting cancer. It is also for those we have lost physically but continue carrying in our hearts. Most importantly, it is for the patients who are still in a hospital room, an ICU, or a bed, wondering whether anyone understands what they are going through. I want them to know that people outside those walls are thinking about them, supporting them, and fighting alongside them,” said Charlie Moon.

“Charlie is family to us, and this event has always been deeply personal,” said Wayne Boich, Founder & CEO of Reserve. “This year, having Charlie back with us and cancer-free and playing again, is a powerful reminder of why we’re doing this. Our goal is to keep bringing people together and use this platform to make a real difference for Sylvester and the patients they serve.”

The evening will bring together world-class padel, community and philanthropy through a pro-am tournament and exhibition play featuring some of the sport’s top players, with notable guests from the worlds of sports and entertainment also expected to attend. The pro-am tournament will begin at 4:30 PM, with a $5,000 entry fee benefiting the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Amateur participants will also have the opportunity to bid on the professional player they would like to compete alongside, with those contributions also benefiting Sylvester. At 8:00 PM, guests will enjoy a marquee exhibition, followed by a closing party that reflects Reserve’s signature approach to bringing people together through sport, hospitality and an unforgettable experience.

Spectator tickets are available for $150, with proceeds benefiting Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Tickets available HERE
