Join Orchestra Miami as we present “Carnival of the Animals” as a part of Family Day on Aragon at the Coral Gables Museum on Saturday, Feb 10th at 1 PM. This humorous musical suite of 14 movements by Camille Saint-Saëns describes a variety of animals (including the two-legged kind!) and will be paired with Respighi’s Baroque inspired suite, The Birds, which musically depicts bird actions, such as fluttering wings, or scratching feet.

Maestro Elaine Rinaldi will conduct the performances, and the featured piano soloists are Elisabeth Thomashoff originally from Vienna, Austria, and Aneliya Novikova originally from Voronezh, Russia, both students at the prestigious Lynn Conservatory in Boca Raton. Running approximately 45 minutes each, the show is free and open to the public. The performance will be presented on the Museum Plaza, which faces Salzedo Street.

The performance is sponsored by the Coral Gables Music Club, with great appreciation to president Ann Goodman for her help in facilitating this performance.
