Come out to the Museum with your family for Innovation & Engineering Weekend, two days of clean tech, green solutions, and lots of hands-on activities themed towards building the city of the future. Help artists and designers build furniture out of recycled materials and participate in other Maker’s activities. Explore the world of tomorrow with new research on immersive 3D environments. See the future of fashion with a special fashion show in the Planetarium, which includes wearable technologies and recycled materials. Meet engineers from around the community and compete in building challenges. Program your own robot, learn about urban gardening and hydroponics, plant your own seedling to take home to your community, participate in tech workshops, explore transportation options of the future from better bicycles (and bike paths) to electric cars, and much more.

Guests will also be able to exclusively view the Spark-Renault SRT_01E racecar on behalf of the FIA Formula E Championship Miami ePrix, the fifth stop on the world’s first fully electric racing series’ 2014-15 calendar.

Children 12 years old and younger are free with paid adult admission.

Food will be available for purchase by Cheeseburger Baby and Box of Chacos food trucks.
