Arts for LA is a non-profit organization, which was created in 2006 by a group of leaders in the arts industry. Arts for LA, was created to address and find a solution for the community’s art issues. They currently have 45,000 supporters, 300 Member Advocates, 165 Member Organizations and four full-time staff members.

With goals of giving Los Angeles a thriving arts scene, Arts for LA does a lot of work in the community. They work with artists and organizations to help them thrive and succeed in the LA art scene. Arts for LA also do a lot of work with the school systems, by helping them develop successful arts educational programs. Arts for LA also create dialogue amongst elected officials and the public about the importance of arts in the community. Finally, Arts for LA provide individuals with clear and direct ways to support the arts. They connect artists and other non-profit arts organizations by helping them network and expand their following and business.

Arts for LA envisions the greater Los Angeles region as one in which government, education, business and residents value, support and fully integrate the arts into their every day life. By focusing on Arts Education, Civic Engagement and the Creative Economy Arts for LA has already made a large impact on the Los Angeles Arts scene.
