Special Preview Performance to Benefit FIU Women’s Studies Center and the Footprints Foundation at the Biltmore presents the South Florida Premiere of Ruined.

A haunting work about the resilience of the human spirit. This frank, frequently funny and ultimately hopeful drama is a searing variation on Brecht’s Mother Courage–translated to a brothel in the Congo, where women are both victims and pillars of strength.

Footprints Foundation’s work in D.R. Congo: Paying for the surgeries to repair the Women who are survivors of rape. Educating, training and establishing a network of skilled midwives to work in rural areas- to reduce maternal and infant mortality in keeping with UN Millennium Development Goals.

Professor John Clark, Florida International University
Professor Carol Boyce Davies, Cornell University
Barbara Martines, Esq., U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Florida
Moderated by:
