Kim Garvey started the discussion of The Trouble With Paddy in the 2009-2010 season and she so enthralled the audience that they asked for her to come back to do Part II.

Based on the fact that one out of ten Americans claims Irish descent, Ms. Garvey’s presentation will continue with the development of Irish identity from ancient times to the present.

Kim Garvey, M.I.L.S. is a historian, librarian, and owner of Tree Trax, a genealogical services company. She writes the “Librarian’s Corner” column for the NGS Quarterly. Ms. Garvey is a graduate of the Salt Lake City Institute of Genealogy and was the 2009 Richard S. Lackey Scholar of the National Institute of Genealogical Research. She specializes in areas and topics related to historical methods, immigration, ethnicity and cemeteries…
