On Wednesday, October 13, 2010, Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) will be the scene for Patterns for PAWS, the second annual canine fashion show and luncheon benefiting PAWS and the Humane Society of Broward County (HSBC). Thom Filicia will serve as honorary host and emcee of the event.

Top models styled by Lilac And Lilies boutique on Sunrise Blvd. will sashay down the runway with pedigree pups and HSBC rescues in tow. The four-legged friends will be fashioned in a collection of couture canine looks featuring collaborative creations by celebrated interior designers and coveted fabric houses found at DCOTA showrooms that will be auctioned off for charity. In addition, the designers are fashioning the luncheon tables in various, festive themes.

Lilac and Lilies owner, Michelle Dimarco, has been a longtime supporter of PAWS and is co-chairing the event. Along with styling the runway fashions and accessories, Dimarco will host a Lilac And Lilies pop-up boutique with a portion of proceeds from sales that evening benefiting PAWS.

Proceeds of the silent auction, prize drawing and ticket sales will raise thousands of dollars for the shelter and help find homes for many homeless animals. In addition, the Humane Society of Broward County will have mobile adoptions available at the event.
