Next Wednesday, we gather back at The Vagabond for a great cause… Local musician Paul Gaeta aka PG-13 teaches art at a local elementary school that has seen its art supply budget for this year slashed to ZERO DOLLARS. That’s why Sweat and PG’s label Circuitree have put together a great night called THE GIVING TREE. Featuring live performances (Afrobeta, Junc Ops, OOO + Jiae Hwang, Starlund), DJs (Romulo Del Castillo, CNTRL, PG-13), visual art (Bhakti Baxter, Kent Hernandez, 131 Projects) and even baked goods by Cadycakes!
It will surely be a fantastic audio, visual, and gustatory experience and you can read more about it in the New Times’ write up here. There’s a $5 donation at the door and 100% of proceeds go toward giving the kids a creative outlet. If you can’t make it out Wednesday, if you like you can send $5 via paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll put it toward the cause!
