Magic City Casino prepares for an encore performance of iconic 70’s rock bands Jefferson Starship and The Guess Who. Attendees can look forward to an evening of legendary rock hits.
“We’re thrilled to host Jefferson Starship and The Guess Who! Fans will be in the presence of rock greatness with these talented performers,” said Scott Savin, Chief Operating Officer of Magic City Casino. “The audience can expect an electrifying show with classics including ‘White Rabbit’ and ‘American Woman.’”
Jefferson Starship, originally known as Jefferson Airplane, is one of the biggest rock groups in America from the 1960’s. Jefferson Airplane, founded by Paul Kantner and Marty Balin in 1974, is best known for hits such as “Jane,” “White Rabbit” and “Count On Me.” Kantner, Balin and Jefferson Airplane were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. The album, Winds of Change, sported two Top 40 hits, “Be My Lady” and the title song. The album reached gold-record status.
The Guess Who, a Canadian rock band, produced a slew of classic rock hits in the late 1960’s and 1970’s including “These Eyes,” “American Woman” and “Clap for the Wolfman.” Their album, American Woman, peaked at the ninth spot on the Billboard Hot 200 list.
