The 1st annual South Florida 5K Freedom Run & PARK Festival is a historic event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the lives lost 9-11 and a monumental opportunity for the entire community to run, jog or walk alongside our military, veterans and first responders in appreciation of their sacrifices and commitment to service. The event’s host location is home to the City of Doral Police Department, United States Southern Command, Miami Dade Fire Rescue Headquarters, Miami Dade Police Department, Miami Vet Center and more!

Check In/ Registration begins at 6:00am and the 5K will officially start at 7:30am. The entire course is on pavement and the streets will be closed to traffic by City of Doral Police. We envision the side streets lined with a sea of supportive onlookers as well as US flags, patriotic banners and mile markers. Commemorative tokens and Awards will be presented to participants in different category levels of achievement immediately following the run. The PARK Festival is FREE and open to the public through NOON. The entire community gathered will pay tribute to all of the lives lost on 9-11 and to our service men and women during a solemn moment of silence and commemoration. The PARK Festival offers a unique opportunity for meaningful and personal interaction with all branches of the military, veteran organizations, police, fire rescue, service families and a community who appreciates and values the freedoms we enjoy.
