“Hello Stiletto!” to benefit Lotus House shelter

WGIRLS, an international all female volunteer organization dedicated to bettering the lives of underprivileged women and children, today announced that it will launch its Miami Chapter with a sole-inspired fundraising event dubbed “Hello Stiletto!” to collect new and gently used shoes in support of Lotus House Shelter. The event will take place at the famed Roy Teeluck Salon, located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Glamour and goodwill come toe-to-toe at this Saturday evening primp party, complete with salon services, bubbly, small bites, gift bag goodies, “the All about Shoe” auction, and music by DJ Constantino Padovano, aka Funky Junction, and Jane Vanderbilt. World renowned celebrity stylist Roy Teeluck and team will provide pay-as-you-wish services, including manicures, blowouts, makeup application, and chair massages.
Attendees will step out looking their Saturday night best while giving a step up for the Lotus House – all for the ticket price of $10, or donation of new or gently used shoes at the door.

Proceeds and donated footwear will help provide support for the women and their children at the Lotus House; a unique resource center and residential facility serving homeless women and infants in the heart of the historic African American district of Overtown.

Donations and sponsorships for the event are provided by Roy Teeluck Salon, L’Oréal Professionnel, Spark & Spark, Vanessa Avellar, LA Sweets, Constantino Padovano, Mortar and Pestle Boutique Apothecary, Joanna Paige and more.
