Shooters Waterfront is proud to host That’s How We Roll “Sushi 101” Thursday, August 19 at 7:00 p.m. The “roll-it-yourself” class teaches all about the art of making, plating, and sake pairing for only $40 per person. Shooters Waterfront’s team of expert sushi chefs provide step-by-step instructions and patrons are encouraged to embrace a new skill set. The class covers basic techniques such as what to prep and the secrets to scouting out the freshest fish. Then the hands-on learning experience begins as attendees learn to roll two of their own sushi rolls before perfecting chopstick dexterity.

Under the chef’s step-by-step guidance, students will learn to wield a rolling mat while crafting two of the restaurant’s popular rolls: the Hamachi Fire roll with Hamachi, jalapeno, romaine, and spicy mayo, and the Kentucky Fried roll with tempura fried chicken tender and a mango sambal slaw. Guests can then enjoy their handmade rolls with a gorgeous sunset view of the Fort Lauderdale waterfront.

Class seating is limited. For reservations, please register via Eventbrite.

Reopened in February 2014, the new Shooters Waterfront features a fresh, coastal-inspired menu in an al fresco dockside dining space featuring three artfully designed cocktail bars and chic outdoor lounge paired with spectacular views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Owned by the reputable restaurant and yacht-provisioning experts of the Grateful Palate, Shooters’ highly regarded team exudes the latest in culinary and waterfront dining trends. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and features Fort Lauderdale’s most scenic weekend brunch. Boasting 340 feet of dockage and complimentary valet parking, guests are welcome to arrive by land or sea.
