with a Red-Inspired Menu that Oozes Love

The color red is often associated with lust, passion, love and beauty. Infusing these characteristics into his Valentine’s Day dishes, Chef Michael Wagner from Lola’s on Harrison has chosen red as the theme throughout his V-Day menu.

A popular food color known to stimulate the appetite, Chef Wagner has captured the essence of the most romantic day of the year in a three-course, prix fixe menu with a celebration toast and in an early “lovebirds” special. From 5 to 6:30 p.m. on February 14, Lola’s will offer their red menu for $40.00 per person. After 6:30 p.m., the menu — based on the four steps for the perfect, love-filled evening that represents each course — will be $65.00 per person. Lola’s red Valentine’s menu features:

The Pick Up Line: toast to a fresh raspberry bellini.

Your First Move: choice of seared ahi tuna, red pepper and red cabbage slaw with fire roasted tomato dressing or red beet salad with frisee, poached pears, maytag blue cheese, candied pecans in champagne vinaigrette.

Seduce Your Senses: select a red chili crusted filet mignon with black diamond cheddar au gratin potatoes and smoked tomato-chipotle sauce or skillet seared Chilean sea bass with spice red lentil pancakes and roasted red pepper butter sauce.

Sweet Ending: red velvet cupcake with a cream cheese frosting or fresh strawberry rhubarb pie with whipped cream and strawberry sauce.

In addition to the prix fixe red menu, Lola’s will have a limited menu available for patrons who are interested in the restaurant’s popular, signature dishes.
