After you hear Brahms’ Horn Trio at the Musicians’ Forum on the 15th, you will surely want to join us for this concert as we welcome Jennifer Montone, Principal Horn of the Philadelphia Orhcestra. Ms. Montone will perform Ligeti’s Horn Trio, whose combination of instruments was directly inspired by Brahms’ own Trio. Mozart’s Horn Quintet and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 1 round out this vibrant chamber program.

Did you know? Mozart wrote his horn works for his friend Joseph Leutgeb and in his original score manuscripts wrote snide notes (in jest) to Leutgeb, such as “take it easy, animal” and “finished? thank heaven!”
