Kick off Safe Boating Week and get an insider’s look at the Blue Economy’s billion dollar industry on a private Water Taxi tour of the New River courtesy of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Florida Inland Navigation District Commissioner Frank Gernert will provide an educational tour of the New River.

The tour will begin and end at Marine Industries Association of South Florida headquarters located at 221 SW Third Avenue in Fort Lauderdale (3:30 p.m. loading and 4 p.m. departure). Complimentary beverages will be provided by sponsors Water Taxi and LBDO.

Advance registration by May 19 is $20 for members $30 for future members at www.ftlchamber.com/BoatTour. Attendance is limited to 100 people.

The Education Fund’s “For the Love of Art” presented by Ocean Bank is a charity auction and honoree celebration. This annual event that highlights the essential role of the visual arts in stimulating creativity and academic success for children.

Enjoy live music, an open bar, an epicurean feast, and bid on fabulous luxury items and one-of-a-kind art created by children and art teachers. All proceeds benefit arts education and The Education Fund Ocean Bank Center for Educational Materials.
