With spring just around the corner, Dolphin Mall – Miami-Dade County’s largest outlet and retail value shopping center with more than 240 stores – invites locals to experience the official arrival of the Easter Bunny on Friday, March 24, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Kids can enjoy complimentary face painting and canvas painting every Saturday starting March 25 – April 8 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

To continue the Easter celebration, Dolphin Mall is partnering with Cherry Hill Programs to host Photos with the Easter Bunny from March 24 – April 9. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County (@arshtcenter) is pleased to present the Good Miami Project (@goodmiami) exhibit, a visual arts project showcasing 60 pieces of art produced by artist Greg Clark. The passion project, inspired by Clark’s volunteer experience with Overtown Music Project and Miami Waterkeeper, started in 2020, and highlights all the good that happens in Miami with 40 different nonprofit organizations. The pieces are on display in the lobbies of the Arsht Center’s Knight Concert Hall and Ziff Ballet Opera House, marking the largest exhibit of Clark’s work.

The 2023 Lexus Corporate Run, one of South Florida’s most highly anticipated annual 5K (3.1 mile) run/walks, kicks-off in its new location at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise on Thursday, March 30, at 6:45 p.m. Celebrating its 25th year, “Fort Lauderdale’s Largest Office Party” is open to employees of businesses, corporations, government agencies, financial institutions and non-profits – regardless of company size – and incorporates a special competition to award the overall men’s, women’s and co-ed teams in 18 industry categories, as well as a t-shirt contest. Beginners can ease into exercise with friends, gain inspiration and motivation to continue walking and running to improve overall health, while competitive runners have the opportunity to shine amongst their co-workers and lead the corporate team to victory.

As part of the race series, $1 per participant of the Fort Lauderdale run will benefit United Way.

Habitat for Humanity of Broward’s homeownership program applications to open for new two-story townhomes in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs beginning on Wednesday, February 15, via www.habitatbroward.org. The application deadline is Friday, March 31. Qualified prospective homeowners do not want to miss this limited opportunity.

The new energy-efficient, two-story townhomes will include three to four bedrooms, garages, modern kitchens, landscaped yards, and hurricane-impact windows.

These locations are close to city centers, schools, churches, recreational and shopping amenities with easy access to transportation and major traffic corridors.
The application process has four steps that include a pre-qualification questionnaire, orientation, financial analysis review, and face-to-face interview. Successful applicants can expect to move into a home within 12 to 18 months.

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
• Must be a first-time homebuyer.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Must be a current Broward County resident or working in Broward (for a year or more).
• Must demonstrate a need for affordable housing.
• Must be within HUD income guidelines.
• Must be committed to making affordable mortgage payments.
• Must be able to show $3,000 in savings and pay $2,700 in escrow.
