Ring in the New Year with a free, beachfront concert with Miami’s premiere professional orchestra, Orchestra Miami! The 42 musicians of Orchestra Miami, led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, will perform with special guests, The Latin Divos. The Latin Divos take Latin Pop, traditional opera arias and Timeless Classics and “Divo-ise” them by adding their Latin flair. Singing in Italian, English, Spanish and French, they have performed in prestigious theaters and venues in the USA, Mexico, Cuba and Panama. Expect to hear timeless favorites such as O Sole Mio, Jurame, Nessun Dorma, Allelujah and much more!

This open-air, family-friendly evening starts at 8 PM with a performance by the Orchestra Miami string quartet, performing festive music to get you in the holiday mood. The full orchestra and the Divos take the stage for a 10 PM performance, leading up to the spectacular fireworks display at midnight.

The concert takes place on Sunday, December 31st on the beach (literally on the sand) in Collins Park, between 21st and 22nd Streets in Miami Beach. Nearest parking is available at the 23rd Street garage, located at 340 23rd Street.

This is a free concert. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or a beach chair, as no fixed seating is provided for the general public. Snow, sleet and ice take over MODS Winter Wonderlab Science Weekends in December on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and on Sundays, from noon – 5 p.m. Experience the weather ingredients that make crazy winter storms. Explore how water changes states from gas to liquid to ice. Find out why the Florida climate is drastically different from many other places around the world. Practice your aim with Science Park “snowball” target shooting, and experience a liquid nitrogen show. Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.

Children can also visit MODS’ newest traveling exhibit “Thomas & Friends™: Explore the Rails!” Rail. The exhibit was created by the Minnesota Children’s Museum in partnership with Mattel, Inc. and is nationally presented by Fisher-Price.

Spend a celebratory New Year’s Eve oceanside at one of South Florida’s most elegant and relaxing dining destinations, helmed by globally renowned Chef Laurent Tourondel.
