Open to the public, Tiffany invites you to celebrate the 2017 Major League Baseball All-Star Week with an exciting opportunity to view a selection of trophies, including the Commissioner’s Trophy, all handcrafted by Tiffany & Co.
In celebration of the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Week, Tiffany & Co. at Bal Harbour Shops will showcase the 2017 T-Mobile Home Run Derby Trophy, Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, World Series MVP Award presented by Chevrolet and the Commissioner’s Trophy, which is awarded to the winning World Series team. From Wednesday, June 28 to Wednesday, July 5 the Tiffany & Co. Bal Harbour store will open its doors to the public for a once in a lifetime experience to view the iconic trophies crafted by Tiffany & Co.
For the sport that would become the great American pastime, Tiffany & Co. created the first world championship baseball trophy in 1888. Tiffany & Co. also designed the T-Mobile Home Run Derby Trophy and the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, which is awarded at the discretion of the Commissioner. In 2000, Major League Baseball commissioned Tiffany & Co. to create one of the most celebrated awards in all of sports: the Commissioner’s Trophy. The design features 30 flags, one for each Major League team, with latitude/longitude lines symbolizing the world. Tiffany also crafts the World Series MVP presented by Chevrolet Trophy. For decades, the moment of victory at the World Series has been commemorated with the presentation of a custom-designed sterling silver trophy from Tiffany & Co.
