“The Short and Short of It” will combine several short comedies and dramatic plays that will touch on many facets of human interaction, family dysfunction embracing LGBTQ, social, family, HIV, homelessness, kindness, and friendship themes, and even some Hip Hop. Each play is different in approach and content, but all are meant to be thought-provoking, leaving the audience to think about the way they see the world.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker is a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless music. Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, the production is performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, a DJ, a electric violinist and MC Kurtis Blow, one of hip-hop’s founding fathers.

Through this remixed and reimagined classic, the dynamic performers of The Hip Hop Nutcracker take us on a journey that celebrates love, community and the magic of the holiday season.
