The beautiful high ceilings with exposed wood beams and walls of wine and books will play backdrop as we honor our keynote speaker and 2019 Community Catalyst Award recipient, Bill Duquette, the new CEO of South Miami Hospital.

Catalyst Miami’s mission is to identify and collectively solve issues adversely affecting low-wealth communities throughout Miami-Dade County. Our programs empower residents to be healthy and financially secure; to recognize their leadership potential; and to become an active voice among local organizations and networks working together, across sectors, to promote community well-being. From guiding residents to access free programs and services, to providing free leadership and advocacy training courses, we are striving toward a Miami where a path to prosperity is accessible to everyone. A South Florida Premiere play by Sarah Delappe and directed by Stuart Meltzer.

This Pulitzer Prize finalist centers on the lives and experiences of nine high school girls through their weekly Saturday morning pre-game soccer warmups, using their team and relationships as a metaphor for survival in 21st Century America. Different personalities and backgrounds clash, as these young women navigate the bumpy terrain of being a teenager living in America today. This stunning new work, highly theatrical and still true to life, is one of the most anticipated titles in the current American theater season.
