Presented by real estate developer Michael Shvo in the redesigned tropical Gardens of The Raleigh Hotel, “Les Lalanne at the Raleigh Gardens,” is a free exhibition open to the public from November 22, 2019 – February 29, 2020 honoring the late French artist Claude Lalanne, and her husband and collaborator François-Xavier Lalanne.

Returning to Surfside for their second holiday season, an international group of renowned classical musicians will gather to perform a series of three intimate concerts for both South Florida visitors and residents. Named after the founder’s late father, who was a part-time Surfside resident and music lover, The Glenn Douglas Winter Chamber Music Festival will run from Monday December 30, 2019, to Friday, January 3, 2020. The festival will feature uniquely themed concerts with pieces ranging from Haydn and Beethoven to Prokofiev and Janacek, all performed at the highest caliber.
Douglas will be joined by violinist Geneva Lewis, violist Celia Hatton, violist Alexandra Simpson and cellist Adam Satinsky. The three-concert series will kick off with “Life Reflections” on Monday, December 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour and conclude with “The Brilliance of Youth” at the same venue on Wednesday, January 3, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person for each event, including a complimentary glass of champagne.
The tea-time matinee, “Folklore,” will be held on Thursday, January 2, at 2:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club. Tickets are $35 per person and include tea or coffee.
Full festival passes are available for $70.
To make it a “staycation” holiday, concertgoers may choose from Surfside’s luxurious hotels: the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, Grand Beach Hotel Surfside or Residence Inn by Marriott Miami Beach Surfside.

Etra Fine Art located in Miami’s Little Haiti and Little River Art District announces its Art Basel/Miami Art Week multimedia exhibition, Ciudades. This multimedia exhibition will be made up of paintings, music, an installation, sculptures, photography, videos, poetry and essays. Alicia Restrepo, Curator and owner of Etra Fine Art, uses the cities as symbols, differently represented by world known artists, to stimulate a dialog over the most pressing issues of today. Participating artists include: 2501; Ana Maria Gutierrez; André Cypriano; Andriy Halashyn; Francis Hines; Juan Raul Hoyos; and Valeria Yamamoto.
The Opening Reception will take place from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st and Etra Fine Art will be open extended hours during Miami Art Week.
