PALO! loves to share the power of joy of music and culture. PALO! was nominated for a Grammy and a Latin Grammy for their album PALO! Live. They perform their own style of Cuban music they call “Afro-Cuban Funk.” Just think “funky, jazzy salsa.” The group’s unique, danceable sound blends the allure of Cuban music with funky beats and jazzy improvisation. The band is a featured act in clubs and live music venues, festivals, corporate events, and private events throughout the world. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, the historic botanical garden that is one of the premier conservation and education-based gardens in the world, is welcoming back visitors to celebrate their annual Chocolate Garden, formerly The International Chocolate Weekend.

The artisan village and food hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will host local retail vendors, chefs and artisan chocolatiers. On Saturday and Sunday, Fresh from Fairchild Marketplace will feature the Milkshake Shoppe and Chocolate Lab. Miami cult favorite Whip’n Dip Ice Cream Shop will host the Milkshake Shoppe and create ultimate custom milkshakes at their made to order milkshake bar. The Chocolate Lab will turn chocolate into an interactive experience – think chocolate painting, chocolate spin art, plant science and more!

Etra Fine Art located in Miami’s Little Haiti and Little River Art District announces its Art Basel/Miami Art Week multimedia exhibition, Ciudades. This multimedia exhibition will be made up of paintings, music, an installation, sculptures, photography, videos, poetry and essays. Alicia Restrepo, Curator and owner of Etra Fine Art, uses the cities as symbols, differently represented by world known artists, to stimulate a dialog over the most pressing issues of today. Participating artists include: 2501; Ana Maria Gutierrez; André Cypriano; Andriy Halashyn; Francis Hines; Juan Raul Hoyos; and Valeria Yamamoto.

The Opening Reception will take place from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1st and Etra Fine Art will be open extended hours during Miami Art Week.
