Sweet Like Cafecito Until the Bitter End

Premiering in January is Cuban-American playwright Michael Leon’s The Cubans, the raw, funny and moving story of Cuban-American family struggling to understand each other and where they fit in. The Cubans will be directed by Victoria Collado, director of the immersive Cuban drama The Amparo Experience.

Gottfried is one of the most recognizable voiceover talents, lending his voice to several commercials, cartoons and movies, including the frustrated duck in the AFLAC Insurance commercials. The film tells a personal story about him growing up in Brooklyn and becoming a husband and father late in life. During his standups, Gottfried puts aside political correctness for his live performance and fires an onslaught of jokes that has no boundaries.

The Comedy Club is South Florida’s premier venue for stand-up comedy and hosts acclaimed comedians weekly, including top-name talent recognized on TV and streaming platforms. The new 400-seat venue offers a variety of seating including plush couches, family-style tables and highboys, and a full bar with light food options.
