Woodlands Country Club. Featuring shotgun start, full lavish buffet, open bar, on-course refreshments,

Whole Foods Market® – Coral Springs Registers Beer Lovers to Participate in Brackets Style Competition

Search Begins for Fifty Beer Judges
While NFL playoffs get underway, Whole Foods Market – Coral Springs looks for fifty (50) beer connoisseurs to judge its own version of head to head competition. The 6th Annual Beer-Offs will be in traditional football playoff format (in honor of the following day’s Big Game) putting 8 carefully selected beers against each other. Participants taste each beer and vote which beer moves to the next round until the last beer left standing will be declared the Ultimate Taste Test Champion.

Beers up for competition include: Samuel Adams Imperial White, Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier, Hofbrau, Palm Amber Beer, Boddingtons Pub Ale, Murphy’s Stout, Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale and Innis & Gunn Rum Cask.

Palm Amber Beer from Belgium won the competition in 2012 and is back to defend its Beer-Offs Champion title.

Applicants (21 and over) can register at customer service. Judges will be chosen on a first come, first served basis. The event, to be held in the store’s Café, is free and open to the public. Canned donations for Broward Outreach Center are welcome.

Cancer Survivors Celebrating Life Runway Style!” will bring two worlds together (non-disabled and disabled) so that everyone can witness this history making televised event and the participants treated like celebrities for a day ie. Hair, makeup, massage, etc. Some models will be provided by the Center of Independent Living of Broward.

Yes, in addition to the beauty and runway show, there will be “Ultimate Survivor” recognitions to be presented by our celebrity guests based on each individual’s testimony as to how they survived their medical crisis, community service to educate and bring awareness about support groups for their respective medical issues, and overall attitude. It’s more than just recognition, it’s a lifestyle challenge.

Your participation will be recognized throughout the entire event in front of an estimated 1,000+ attendees, and to millions via TV, radio, social media, etc.

ANNOUNCEMENT: CANCER SURVIVOR MODEL CALL! Survivors on the Runway – Cancer Survivors Celebrating Life Runway Style presented by Wornbyacelebrity and Tia Frost, Ms. Florida Plus America Elite 2011 Presents! Any person who has survived cancer are invited to participate in the 2012 Epic Fashion and “Ultimate Survivor” runway show on November 10th, 2012 at the Coral Springs Performing Arts Center. All models must submit a personal bio (80-150 words), to include; age, medical crisis, how you brought awareness to the community about your condition, hobbies, job (if applicable) and most importantly, dreams and aspirations. Participants are expected to attend at all three rehearsals. All entries over age 8 to 60+ will be considered (No experience necessary). Models must be able to follow simple directions. Chefs Erik Sierra and Greg True from Red Fish Grill will compete in the Walmart Choice by Kingsford® charcoal and Coca-Cola to determine who has the best steak-grilling chops in town. Miami is one of eight markets selected for this steak showdown. All events will take place at Walmart parking lots and be judged by shoppers, who will get to try the steak and wash it down with a refreshing Coca-Cola Zero for free. Eight chef finalists will be selected to compete in New York City, May 22, for best seared steak honors in a contest judged by champion pitmaster Chris Lilly and other food luminaries.

Families can wander Dr. Seuss’s whimsical world of imaginary wonder by participating in the event’s fun-filled activities:

• Take part in a fascinating in-mall book reading, narrated by local celebrities
• Capture a photo in front of a splendid Mulberry Street-themed backdrop featuring a variety of children’s favorite Dr. Seuss characters. Families may also have the chance to interact and snap a photo with the cheerful event VIP, The Cat in the Hat.
• Enjoy a television episode of PBS KIDS’ The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! (Check local listings for more information.)
• Decorate marvelous Mulberry Street bookmarks and enchanting Dr. Seuss-inspired crowns and tiaras.

Make your way to Coral Square Mall by land or by sea for untold adventure and a pirate party at the “Simon Kidgits Club Pirate Adventure!” Busy buccaneers can participate in a variety of sea-themed activities that will net gold coins, prizes and take-home crafts.

Pee-wee pirates can “Walk the Plank” to receive gold coins, take a blind-folded turn to mark the hidden location of treasure in “‘X’ Marks the Spot,” and step into character with a temporary tattoo station. All small scoundrels are invited to participate in the “Pirate Parade” while learning the lingo.
