 Mr. Hospitality, the acclaimed Miami based hospitality management group, has teamed up with some of the hottest DJs in the world to create an exciting lineup for their Miami hotspots. Marion, El Tucán, and Bâoli will be adding even more energy to Miami Music Week, upping the ante with an unbelievable dining experience to complement live music by renowned DJs in-house. On Wednesday, March 23rd, Marion will be hosting London native DJ Damian Lazarus known for his techno house style. On Thursday, March 24th, the party continues in Miami Beach at Bâoli with Art Department. Closing out the week on Friday, March 25th, El Tucán will have Luciano spinning his tracks such as Rise of Angel.

PAWS4you, a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer, donor-subsidized animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida, in partnership with Chopard, is hosting its annual fundraising gala; this year’s theme is the 70s Mamma, Mia, Here We Go Again! The event will be comprised of a 90-minute concert by ABBA Revisited, the red-carpet experience, a cocktail reception, a formal dinner, as well as a live auction hosted by celebrity auctioneer, John Curley. It’s not quite Christmas without Santa Clause, and Brickell City Centre will be going all out this year with a dedicated Santa Centre at the garden deck, reminiscent of Main Street USA! This interactive and immersive space brings holiday elements to life with Santa’s Post Office and Command Centre, Rudolf’s Fuel Stop, Dancer’s Doowap Diner and a Pop-In Shop. Kids will have the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap for a complimentary photo (only free place in Miami) and check his naughty-or-nice list.

Even Santa is going green this year – in addition to traditional paper letters to Santa, guests can use the designated iPads to write Santa all their Christmas wishes and even print them, if they wish. BCC welcomes all furry friends to partake in the festivities as well, anytime throughout the season for photos with Santa.

Rudolf’s Fuel Stop: For an additional photo moment, Rudolf’s fuel stop (modeled after a retro gas station) is a booth that guests can actually step into and snap a pic. The fuel stop features a fun vintage telephone and retro style gas pump made especially for Santa’s sleigh.

Dancer’s Doowap Diner: Dancer’s Doo Wap diner is an interactive photo moment (where guests can actually step into the vignette and grab a seat at the counter or even stand behind it ready to take orders. The diner also acts as a programming opportunity. Dancer’s special today? Eggnog and fresh baked cookies courtesy of Haagen Daas!

Pop-In Shop: This retro style pop up will house various programming opportunities and allow guests to step inside a cool and classic holiday experience. The space will allow for a maximum capacity of 5-10 guests at a time – similar in size to the Capsool pop up.

Explore the whimsical world of French-Lebanese artist RACHEL K in her first US solo exhibition at the W Miami during Miami Art Week 2021.

Known for her larger-than-life sculptures and art pieces combining papier-mâché, paint, fiber collage and tiny vintage toys from all over the world, Rachel K’s art is a nod to our childhood fantasies and pop culture icons.

But there is no “toying around” for the Winner of the Best International Solo Artist at the World Art Dubai Awards 2017. Her latest pièce de résistance Wings of Joy is a whopping 100 x 45” sculpture that will have its debut reveal exclusively for this event. If this won’t have Instagramers flocking for a photo op, Rachel K’s sculptures on showcase – think Marge Simpson, Mickey Mouse and Super Mario Flower – will make art collectors bid for a joyful addition to their homes.

Celebrate the History of Miami & the Women who Made it a Great City! The City of Miami is the only major US city which was founded by a woman- Julia Tuttle. Orchestra Miami celebrates this unique history and the contributions of is women with a concert of music composed by women, in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment giving Women the right to vote.
Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, 8:00 PM at the historic First Miami Presbyterian Church, located at 609 Brickell Avenue. The concert features compositions by four note-worthy women composers- Tania León, Amy Beach, Florence Price & Ellen Taaffe Zwilich. The concert will be led by Orchestra Miami’s Founder & Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi & features Asiya Korepanova as the soloist on Amy Beach’s piano concerto.
In tribute to each of the composers on the concert, Orchestra Miami will honor four women who have greatly contributed to Miami’s heritage: Chairperson of U.S. Century Bank Aida Levitan, historian, author and preservationist Arva Moore Parks McCabe, Miami historian and first African-American President of the Dade Heritage Trust Enid Curtis Pinckney and former Miami-Dade County Commissioner and former President & CEO of the Miami Foundation, Ruth Shack.
The concert begins with Ácana by Afro-Cuban composer Tania León, followed by the lushly romantic Concerto for Piano in C # Minor by Amy Marcy Beach. Following intermission, the orchestra performs the Concert Overture N. 2 by Florence Price. the first black woman composer to have a symphony performed by a major US orchestra. The final piece is the Symphony N. 1 (Three Movements for Orchestra) by Miami native Ellen Taaffe Zwilich.

LOS ANGELES, CA., July 19, 2019 – International beauty and modeling competition – Queen Beauty Universe set for July 28, 2019 at Miami’s JL Knight Center who last hosted a major beauty pageant 24 years ago – the Miss Universe pageant in 1985.
Originating from Spain, the nearly decade-old Queen Beauty Universe competition known by Hispanic and Latino communities around the world as La Reina Belleza Universo, was recently acquired by a US beauty brand marketing company Brodeur Kazanjian Beauty & Fashion in collaboration with international model and talent management company J. Severin Talent.
Dubbed, “the pageant for models”, Queen Beauty Universe has been described by industry insiders as where Top Model / Next Top Model meets Miss Universe. The show will be hosted by Venezuelan model, actress and former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza and Miami-based Venezuelan actor Willy Martin known for hosting EVTV Miami show Chic Al Dia and as a member of the cast of Telemundo’s popular telenovela Betty en NY.
Partner hotel The Hyatt Regency Miami will host 30 contestants from Europe, South America, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia. The contestants – models, actresses, TV hosts and performing artists – will compete in swimsuit, spokesmodel and couture gown competitions for a chance to win a cash and prize package valued at nearly $75k that includes modeling contracts, brand collaborations, TV hosting and other opportunities.

Red Bull partnered with American Social Bar and Kitchen to give 28 students an opportunity to participate in a landmark initiative that will showcase their world-class design insight at one of Miami’s most popular establishments. The students are part of the University’s renowned FIU: By Design and the Department of Interior Architecture program.

REVAMP, powered by Red Bull, gave the interior designers-in-training the chance to use their imaginations in redesigning the bar at American Social Bar and Kitchen’s location in Brickell. The seven teams, comprised of four students each, worked on a three-week Design Charette.

Throughout the three weeks, each team developed their ideas into a series of design proposals that were presented at different stages of the Design Charette. The final goal of the Charette was to reimagine the bar, with a chance to have it build out at the Brickell establishment.

“This is the first time our students have participated in a project for an actual client so early in their studies,” said Katie Rothfield, Senior Instructor, FIU Interior Architecture Department. “It is an incredible opportunity for the students to merge design theory with its practical application, and there is nothing more exciting than seeing your designs come to life. We are eager to see our students’ design proposals, and we look forward to the unique experience of working with Red Bull and American Social.”

REVAMP kicked off at the beginning of the Fall semester with an on campus meeting on August 23, 2018, throughout the project, students gained first-hand knowledge and experience in every step of the design process, from initial client meetings to the development of detailed drawings, equipment specifications, to the presentation of their final design proposals. American Social leadership briefed students on their initial vision, general project parameters and guidelines for a successful implementation.

The winners who were announced on September 6, 2018 were Maria Leon, Carolina Cardona, Mirtes Araujo, and Melissa Briceno. The buildout of the REVAMP powered by Red Bull project came to completion April, 2019.

Epilepsy Florida’s Spooky Soiree costume party will serve as the organization’s official kick-off to November’s Epilepsy Awareness Month, an annual period dedicated to educating individuals and communities about epilepsy.

The event, presented by The Neurology Group, will include Argentine cuisine, cocktails, a silent auction, and live entertainment by Miami’s Suénalo and Guitars Over Guns as well as multidisciplinary artist Typoe. Jackie Gran, a local mosaic artist, and Pat Dean, a world-renowned epilepsy specialist from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, will host.

Our neighborhood exploration of Brickell Avenue will be led by Casey Piket, who’s the founder of a popular Facebook page “Miami History” and the official walking tour guide for Dade Heritage Trust, Miami-Dade County’s leading organization committed to preserving local architectural, environmental, and cultural heritage. This walking tour is part of an on-going series that touches on the architecture, history, culture and environment of Brickell. It’s fun, heart-healthy, educational & entertaining, while featuring great views along Brickell Avenue North and the Miami River walkway! You’ll get to know more about this local community with stops at a variety of places of interest along the route.

Accessibility: #MiamiWalks seeks to make this event as accessible as possible to individuals of all different abilities and needs. This walking tour in particular, will be kid-friendly and dog-friendly.

Join us in welcoming Bernardinho, Brazil’s setter for the Brazilian National Volleyball team in the 80’s.
Bernardinho’s career spanned from 1979 to 1986, with significant wins such as the bronze medal in the World Cup in 1981, and the silver in the World Games in Argentina in 1982 and the silver at the Olympic Games in 1984.
Bernardinho coached the women’s Brazilian National team, who were vice-champions in 1994, that same year they also won the Grand Prix, bronze medal at the Olympics in 1996, and the bronze medal in the Sidney.
For the men’s team, besides the nine titles of the World League, he was the coach for the Champions of the World Cup in 2003, of the Olympic games in 2004 and the World Championships in 2006.
On 21 August of 2016 he was the Coach for Brasil’s male volleyball team which won the gold medal in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, in a 3 to 0 victory over Italy at the Maracanãzinho stadium.
Bernardinho has one of the most complete resumes of any Brazilian athlete, and now is a motivational speaker. Bernardinho is married to the former volleyball player, Fernanda Venturini, they have two daughters and one son.

The crew at Hand Rolled: A Film About Cigars will be joining Prime Cigar and Whiskey Bar for the evening to promote their new project about the premium cigar world. Join the directors, Jesse Marriut and Steve Gherebean, to watch a trailer of the film, which details how master rollers have perfected their craft, along with helping viewers understand what goes into the cigar experience. Patrons will also have to opportunity to speak with the directors personally and if interested, contribute towards the completion of the project.

Foundation Cigar Company has been behind the project since the inception and they are partnering with Hand Rolled to generate exposure and support for the film. Sampler packs from their factory will be for sale with a voucher for a digital download of the film when it’s completed. Several raffles will be conducted throughout the night and the proceeds of that and the sampler packs will be donated to the project.

Being a Saturday night, guests can enjoy the usual Prime environment including live music and great cocktails.
