Inspired by nature, The Palms Hotel & Spa is celebrating the 34th annual International Coastal Cleanup Day by hosting a beach clean up on Saturday, September 21 from 9AM – 12PM. During this event, hotel guests and other eco-warriors joining can experience a morning of doing good and feeling good, while keeping Miami’s beaches beautiful by picking up trash and debris along the sand and sea that stretches between 30th and 39th streets. The property will be providing garbage bags, data collection cards, sunscreen, and insect repellant. Set under the shade of historic live oaks, the Marketplace will feature more than 52 vendors offering a selection of original art, antiques, furnishings, collectables, clothing, jewelry, luxury bath fixtures and more. Vendors will also showcase specialty plants including orchids and succulents plus pet supplies, organic food and natural health and beauty products. Gourmet bites and beverages will be available to purchase onsite. Live music and a tattoo artist will add another artistic dimension to this community event.

Admission to the New River Marketplace is free, however, guests are encouraged to take advantage of History Fort Lauderdale’s renowned tours and museums. General admission is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors and $7 for students (through age 22 with a valid student ID). Admission is free for members, military and children ages six and under. We are an entrepreneurial hub that fuses hustle and passion with those aiming to make their dreams a reality,” says Keon Williams of Urban Philanthropies.

The Urban is a new 58,000 square foot market place and public venue; offering soulfully curated cocktails and menu items. The 2-day weekly event is FREE and open to the public with vending fee options.
