We will have different Chess and Game activities throughout the day! They will also learn different chess strategies and tactics, do some chess puzzles and more. Other games are available.

Free Raffles throughout the day! Children will have time to socialize with their friends and make new ones too! Please pack your own lunch on Monday – Thursday, and Friday is Pizza day, free water, juice, and snacks will be provided daily. Complimentary coffee while you drop the kids off too.

Looking for something exciting to do with kids this summer? Give little monkeys an excuse to go wild by enrolling them in the Jungle Adventure Camps at Jungle Island. Available from June 15-August 7, Jungle Island offers eight-weeklong, full-day camps filled with fun, educational animal encounters specifically designed for ages five to 12-years-old. Adventure Camp explorers embark on a journey of discovery through up-close interactions with exotic mammals, spectacular birds, cool reptiles and much more. Campers also receive a first-hand look into the life of a zookeeper. Each camp experience includes opportunities to play and cool off.

Every weekday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jungle Adventure Camps cost $215 per child, per week and $195 for annual pass holders. Tax is additional. Early and late care available at an additional cost. OLCDC & Bookleggers Library are hosting a fun-filled, family-friendly afternoon at the park, complete with FREE books and $5 BBQ plates! Everyone’s invited!

Bookleggers is a community mobile library based out of South Florida, setting up at rotating venues once a month and giving away free books to the public. As of 2015, Bookleggers Library operates with the generous funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
For those who are new to Bookleggers, the rules are simple:
1) Everyone gets one book for free;
2) We accept trades, a book for a book;
3) Each additional book is $2.

Springtime brings excitement to Miami Seaquarium with the return of spring camp. This year’s spring camp theme is ‘Conservation Quest.’ The park’s spring camp program offers students from kindergarten to high school the opportunity to learn about environmental issues facing our planet including pollution, invasive species, water conservation, habitat destruction, and endangered species. The week long camp includes one marine mammal show a day, at least one animal interaction a day, arts and crafts, interactive games and experiments, lunch and much more. Easter Weekend in Miami gets underway with BunnyPalooza 2015 at Miami Seaquarium, which hops onto the scene from Friday, April 3 to Easter Sunday, April 5. Guests will enjoy continuous Easter Egg Hunts throughout the day, and five acres of adrenaline pumping fun with bounce houses, slides, rides, Rock Climbing Wall, plus many prizes and surprises. The Easter Parade will start daily at 12:30 p.m. complete with floats, bands, strolling performers, costumed characters and of course the Easter Bunny. A discount offering of $8 off admission to BunnyPalooza is available with a receipt or coupon from participating McDonalds Restaurants. Proceeds to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida whose mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children in South Florida.
