bettyalvarezBorn and raised in Miami and with over 10 years in the Entertainment and Media industry, Betty has become well-known in the events community. In 1998, Betty started her career in the media and entertainment industry being part of a local newspaper. This was the beginning of attending networking events, social parties and affairs representing such newspaper.

In 2002, Betty started her career in the non-profit industry being part of Actors’ Playhouse where she worked in almost every aspect and behind the scenes in the administrative offices. Through the years of socializing and networking she has managed to meet many interesting people both in media and in the business community.

In 2005, Betty became part of two tourist channels where now her networking skills aims at another sector. Due to the many events being held all over Miami, she developed a skill in which today has become a great addition to her career. Betty started taking photographs of her outings with friends on a casual basis and on certain occasions. Not until 2010 and through the advice of a friend who also worked in a well respected Gables Community newspaper website, Betty started taking photographs on a professional basis.

A few months into 2010, James Echols also suggested to put her photographic skills to work being part of Soul of Miami. Betty is happy to be working for Soul of Miami and loves attending events and now with a great purpose.

Held at the Miami Beach Convention Center on July 31, the event, launched the much-anticipated 9th annual Miami Spice Restaurant Program and will showcased a sampling of delicious culinary specialties from Miami Spice participating restaurants.     Fellow Miamians gathered together to celebrate Miami’s Birthday in an evening filled with all the sights sounds and tastes of our Magic City. Guests enjoyed the live performances by Suenalo, and DJ Spam, tastings from local restaurants. Cocktails were served compliments of Grey Goose Vodka and more. Rudy Gil from Secret Society took us back to our younger years singing the hit songs that made him famous. Jon Secada made the honors to sing “Happy Birthday” to Miami.     On July 16, 2010 Setai on Miami Beach hosted a fashion show for the Inca collection part of Miami Swim week Guests were treated tastings of Hendrick’s cocktails. Although the show started at 11:45 p.m., it was worth the wait. The show started with a spectacular fire dancer followed by Conga dancers and Conga drum beaters.
