Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA) is thrilled to present the Fanni Sarkozy Ensemble as part of its monthly “Jazz at MOCA” series. Sarkozy is an internationally recognized, highly trained pianist, award-winning composer, singer and music educator who is equally proficient in jazz and classical music.

As an honors graduate of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Sarkozy and two friends formed the band “Mizar,” whose effort and proficiency led them to win numerous jazz and pop competitions in Hungary and abroad. Sarkozy began to write music and in 2010 Mizar won first prize in the International Songwriting Contest in the jazz category with a song called “No Time to Lose.”

Sarkozy is also known for writing music for films, radio commercials and documentaries. In 2015, she worked with the famous film director, Pal Sandor, as a music specialist in the Hungarian film “Vandorszineszek” and in 2016, she began to write music for the film “The Amphibious.”

The public is invited to enjoy the jazz rhythms of the Fanni Sarkozy Ensemble, rain or shine! The museum will be closed for installation of its upcoming exhibition.

After-School All-Stars has been dedicated to helping low-income kids for 25 years and was founded by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

Hosted by Wayne Boich, Mark Groussman, Sean Posner and Michael Simkins, the distinguished annual event attracts a well-heeled guest list of 150 philanthropists, celebs, pro-athletes, and Hall-of-Famers. The afternoon starts out with red carpet coverage from our media partners, then quickly shifts gears into a very private cocktail party with a relaxed feel for the jet-setter crowd. As the charity poker tournament kicks off, so does the excitement of the NCAA FINAL FOUR games streaming live on HD screens throughout. Exquisite fare from Lobster Bar and handcrafted cocktails flow non-stop throughout the event. Miami Heat Dancers, E11even performers, and Dolphin Cheerleaders add to the beautiful scenery. Guests admire the incredible poker prizes on display including stunning timepieces. Once-in-a-lifetime and luxurious experiences are auctioned off to the highest bidders.
