Just 18 years old and blind since early childhood, Matthew Whitaker has achieved international acclaim for his awe-inspiring talent and performed across the world in impressive venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Harlem’s Apollo Theater where, at age 10, he opened for Stevie Wonder’s Hall of Fame induction.

The young artist has also charmed millions through his television performances on NBC’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and Fox’s “Showtime At The Apollo”, where he won first place.

Whitaker’s performance on August 21 marks his second Summer Jazz Series appearance. Faena Theater is proud to welcome this inspiring talent back to Miami Beach for its third annual concert series.
