Miami Seaquarium announces a new Reef Ranger Leadership course for teenager’s ages 13-18 years old who are interested in marine conservation and how they can become active environmental members in their community. If you know a high school student interested in environmental stewardship, community service hours and a great resume builder, then this month-long course is for them. There will be a total of eight course meetings throughout the month. The program takes place at Miami Seaquarium beginning at 6 p.m. By the end of this course, the teenagers gain the following experiences:Leadership in their community, educating peers on local conservation issues.Awareness on local endangered species and the conservation efforts in place to protect them.Understanding the importance of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – and different ways to live sustainably, and how this connects to our environment.Knowledge in the marine conservation field to put on their resume.
