LATE at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science takes a deeper look at the scientific wonders of the museum’s special exhibitions the second Wednesday of every month. In LATE@Frost Science: SEEING 003, guests will explore “Waves” with an in-depth look at the SEEING: WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT? exhibition in the museum’s West Wing. Is sight essential to seeing? Sound waves and echoes are used by some animals to navigate the space around them. Can echolocation help the blind see?

The evening’s creative talks will include Dr. Fred F Telischi, Chairman of Otolaryngology and Professor at the Neurological Surgery and Biomedical Engineering at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Featured activations will include an Echo Earth Experience in VR, “Visualizing Sound” installation by Moonlighter Makerspace, photo booth by YP Photo Booth, “For Your Eyes” personalized photos of guest eyes by Bridges Aderhold and more.

SEEING: WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT? at Frost Science has been made possible with generous support by Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, part of the University of Miami Health System.

Tickets are $8 for adults and free for members with membership card.
