Occupying an entire city block on Collins Avenue, 1 Hotel South Beach sits directly on 600 feet of pristine beachfront on Miami Beach. Putting the brand’s mission of sustainability at the forefront, the property will be hosting a variety of eco-conscious events to celebrate Earth Day, bringing together mind, body and spirit.

Thursday, April 20 – Sunday, April 23

Lobby Tree Stand – 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., daily. Lobby. Open to hotel guests.
Celebrate the Earth and add to Mother Nature’s flora by planting a garden at 1 Hotel South Beach. Guests can stop by the lobby to choose from a selection of herbs, vegetables and flower seeds, and share a little goodness from the ground up.

Less Than Charm – Ongoing, daily. Front Desk & Concierge. Open to hotel guests.
Keep good intentions around with a ‘less than’ charm that guests can receive upon check-in, check-out or at Concierge. Serving as a friendly reminder to consume a little less every day, the charm is a simple sentiment aimed to inspire guests.

Earth Day Celebration – 3 p.m. – close, daily. Tom On Collins/Lobby. Open to public.
Guests can celebrate throughout 1 Hotel South Beach with various Earth Day happenings throughout the property including canapes from Beachcraft, Plnthouse and The Sandbox, live music in the lobby starting at 8 p.m. nightly with a special Earth Day set on Saturday with local band Brothers of Others. Indulge with an Earth Day Specialty cocktail at Tom On Collins available through Sunday. Guests can will their intentions into existence by stopping by the communal table at Tom On Collins and add their intentions to the Intention Tree. For every intention set by guests, 1 Hotel South Beach will make a donation to Million Trees Miami.

Saturday, April 22 – Earth Day

Dune Restoration Project with Citi Bike – 10 a.m. – noon, Miami Beach Boardwalk. Riders to meet on the corner of 24th Street and Collins Ave. Open to hotel guests and select invites.
Join a Citi Bike tour to visit various Miami Beach restricted dune areas near 1 Hotel South Beach. Bikers will get in-depth information from a Surfrider panelist on the effects of dune erosion and the importance of restoration, along with a plant for riders to plant at their stop. All riders will receive a “Do All The Good You Can” t-shirt and JUST water bottles.

Strengthen & Push Yourself Like a Spartan – 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., Spartan Gym. Open to public.
Get insider access to the exclusive Spartan Gym at 1 Hotel South Beach with this special Earth Day experience with Coach Lawrence. Guests can improve mobility, strength and endurance with an animal flow warm-up followed by a challenging strength-based circuit workout with unique obstacles and functional training exercises. Butterfly Release – 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m., Basecamp/Center Pool. Open to hotel guests.
Guests of all ages will be able to release butterflies back into their natural habitat at the Hatchery at the Center pool entrance. Butterflies are beneficial to the environment through the symbiotic relationship they maintain with plants they visit and their preferences for organic, native habitats.

Plnthouse Social – 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., Plnthouse. Open to public.
Feed the body with Earth Day specials at Chef Matthew Kenney’s Plnthouse and its menu of sustainable, locally grown plant-based dishes. Enjoy sounds from DJ E Dubs on the patio while snacking on plates that highlight Chef Kenney’s signature plant-based cuisine that is both vibrant and nutritious.

Sunset Elemental Flow & Mind Meditation – 6 p.m. – 7:45 p.m., Plnthouse Terrace. Open to public.
Connect body with nature as 1 Hotel South Beach launches its first wellness activation with a sunset yoga and meditation event. Start with a guided mediation before shifting awareness and engaging the body with a Water and Fire yoga practice. Journey towards savasana as the yoga session ends with a guided ending meditation. All participants will enjoy light refreshments and snacks.
