You don’t need to get a par-fect hole in one to win this game! Housing Opportunities, Mortgage Assistance, & Effective Neighborhood Solutions, Inc. (H.O.M.E.S.) a non-profit organization, is hosting a golf tournament at Fort Lauderdale Country Club on Friday, September 30th, 2016. The event will raise funds for at-risk Broward residents and neighborhoods, and continue providing effective housing solutions. H.O.M.E.S. revitalizes houses and communities so that they are affordable for low-income buyers. In addition, they also provide homebuyer education and financial counseling to create long-term positive change for Broward County.

“By participating in the H.O.M.E.S. golf tournament, we have an opportunity to both enjoy a game of golf and help give back to the Broward community,” said Juan Rojas, H.O.M.E.S. Board of Directors’ Treasurer, Vice President, Director of Community Development/CRA of Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are still available for the golf tournament. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 9:00 a.m. Cocktails, lunch, a live auction and raffle, and a program will follow the tournament. H.O.M.E.S., founded in 1998, is a nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to provide quality community and economic development benefitting at-risk/disadvantaged lower income Broward County residents and neighborhoods. Their Board of Directors are local volunteers who live and/or work in Broward County. H.O.M.E.S. currently has a youth supportive housing and self-sufficiency program, provides rental housing for lower-income and special needs residents, and has ongoing commercial revitalization.
