Body & SOUL is here because of music: music we love, music we share. Music that can touch us in the most intimate way. Body&SOUL was founded in 1996 by François K. and John Davis, went on for the first six years as a Sunday afternoon party at Club Vinyl and soon became one of New York City’s most revered club parties. The three DJs, Danny Krivit, Joaquin ‘Joe’ Claussell and François K. delivered a unique soulful mix of very organic and spiritual dance music grooves, and became standard-bearers for New York dance music. On any given Sunday at Body&SOUL, people from all walks of life, ages and races, raised their hands in the air and gave thanks for the unifying force that brought them back week after week: the music.
Now looking back on 20 years of history, having taken the Body & SOUL experience to Summerstage in Central Park (3 times!), to Tokyo where this year marks our 15th Anniversary in Japan, to Osaka, Singapore, Naples, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Lyon, Marseille, Cannes, Geneva, Madrid, Croatia, Kefalonia, Belgium, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco… our hearts are filled with joy from all the love we have received from our growing worldwide community. This year 2016 we are starting the celebrations with Miami, Naples, Amsterdam and Tokyo in the spring and will be announcing new dates shortly for this 20th Anniversary tour. Stay tuned, the journey continues…
