Nationally acclaimed steakhouse BLT Prime Miami will partner with local home-grown beer makers M.I.A. Brewing for a five course dinner featuring seasonal beers from the Doral-based brewery and tap room. Miami Herald Food Editor Evan Benn, a national beer writer for Esquire, Beer Advocate and other publications, will serve as host for the event; MIA Brewing owner Eddie Leon will also be in attendance.

The evening will get underway at 7 PM on Thursday, January 21st on the restaurant’s beautiful veranda overlooking the famed Blue Monster golf course (weather permitting). Reservations are required at 305-591-6066. Menu follows:

First Course:
Tuna Sashimi/Fennel Salad/Blood Orange Vin
Paired with MIA Baewatch – Light Belgian blonde, perky 6% ABV, dry hopped with Amarillo

Second Course:
Foie Gras/Black Cherry Pop Rocks/ Marcona Almond Granola
Paired with MIA Caramel Chameleon – Dark and rich Old ale caramelized in kettle for 18 hours. German alt yeast and Cherrywood

Third Course:
Braised Pork Shoulder/Parsnip Mash/Pork Cracklings
Paired with MIA Rye Tortugas – Galaxy red rye malt, ale Chinook bittering hops. Piney balance for the rye, dry hop, tropical fruity notes

Fourth Course:
Short Ribs/Smoked Bone Marrow /Truffle Risotto
Paired with MIA Calle Oatcho – Roasty dark chocolate held high by lactose (unfermented milk sugar), full bodied balance

Fifth Course:
Stout Cake/Malt Ice Cream/Caramel Oats Crisp
Paired with MIA Czarface Barrel-Aged Russian Imperial Stout – This medium bodied stout has a slight mealy quality and finishes with sweet cream. It’s a deceptively high octane sipper that rides safely on the edge.
