Hundreds of South Florida residents and business leaders will roll up their sleeves and spend the Martin Luther King, Jr., federal holiday working to enhance and beautify an underserved Miami Gardens, Fla., school. The eighth-annual event, known as “MLK Day of Service” and coordinated by City Year Miami, will unite community volunteers in painting murals, building picnic tables, and planting gardens at Myrtle Grove K-8 Center.
