Originally launched in 2013, Makers Monday encourages consumers to pledge to buy American on the Monday after Thanksgiving and to share that pledge and their American-made purchase on their social networks. In its third year, the Makers Monday project simply asks people to pledge to “buy maker” on Monday, November 30. Shinola, known for its Detroit-built watches, bicycles and journals, recently announced today that Makers Monday will now expand outside of the United States to include the UK.
