Animate! Miami, Florida’s largest anime and animation convention, returns to Miami from October 23-25, 2015 for three days of animation, cosplay, video games, comic books and more. It’s a full weekend celebration featuring some of the industry’s biggest names, with hundreds of events, including panels, Q&As, costume contests, video gaming, exhibitors, artists, and much more for fans of all ages.  

Celebrities, Voice Actors & Comic Guests
Animate! Miami will host a full agenda of panels, Q&As, photo opportunities and more for fans to see their favorite celebrities, voice actors and industry guests, including:

Christopher Daniel Barnes, known as the voice of Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid and Spider-Man and Peter Parker in the Spider-Man Animated Series, and starring in The Brady Bunch Movie (Greg Brady) 
Steven Universe cast member Zach Callison (Steven Universe) will be joined by other cast members from the hit Cartoon Network series
Margaret Kerry, the original Tinker Bell and Red-Headed Mermaid in Walt Disney’s 1953 animated feature Peter Pan
Sailor Moon cast members Lauren Landa (Sailor Neptune) and Erica Mendez (Sailor Uranus and Reika)
Madoka Magica cast members Sarah Williams (Sayaka) and Lauren Landa (Kyoko Sakura)

Cosplay and Costume Competitions
Animate! Miami will also feature dozens of costume and cosplay events throughout the 3-day show, with thousands of dollars in cash and prizes on the line. Guests can get their photos taken in costume at the cosplay photography booth and repair costumes at the Cosplay Medics. Each year, Animate! Miami also brings in professional cosplay guests from around the country that take part in panels, workshops and to help judge the various costume and costuming contests. To learn more about cosplay events, click here.

Costume Competitions:
Runway Costume Competition: “Runway” style contest. There will be no pre-judging. Contestants can enter in store-bought or homemade costumes. The following awards will be given out: Best in Show, Best Individual, 2nd place – Individual, Best Group, 2nd place – Group, Best Junior / Youth, and Judges Awards. Sirens of Animation Costume Competition: A special costume contest showcasing our favorite good and bad girls of animation and anime. A special panel consisting of some industry guests and professional costumers will judge this contest. This is a runway style contest with no pre-judging. Costumes may be of any female character that appears in anime, cartoons or video games. Costumes may be handmade or store bought. Since this contest takes place late at night, no one under the age of 17 may enter this contest. Click here for more information.
Animate! Miami Costume Competition: A competitive costuming event with over $2,000 in cash and prizes at stake with $1,000 cash for Best in Show. The contest is open to all skill levels to ensure both novice and experienced costumers have a chance at winning an award. Click here for more information.
Masquerade Costume & Performance Competition: Where costuming and cosplay go to the next level, this competition is like a costume talent show based on performance and presentation. Contestants can enter as individuals or as a group and will be judged based on stage performance and costumes.
