Marsha Norman, who wrote the 1983 Pulitzer Prize-winning play ‘night, Mother, the 1992 Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden, the libretto for The Color Purple, the book for The Bridges of Madison County, and the book for the forthcoming Broadway musical, King Kong, will be the keynote speaker. Norman will address this year’s theme “Building A Bridge Across the Gender Divide,” and will be among the conference’s Masters Artists alongside nationally recognized speakers including OBIE Award-winning playwright and New Georges producing artistic director and co-founder Susan Bernfield, the 2015 Dramatists Guild Traveling Master Cusi Cram, actress playwright Leslie Ayvazian, and popular playwriting teacher Michael Bigelow Dixon.
