May 29: Haitian Jazz is making a splash all over the US and the Americas, and the Creole Jazz Project of Miami is in the forefront of the movement. One needn’t be Haitian to play the music, of course, and this band is international.

Led by Haitian guitarist Chardavoine, all members of the band are fixtures in the Miami jazz scene and extremely talented. Haitian-born but Brooklyn-bred, Chardavoine has covered the gambit of musical styles through the waves of his guitar. He is a
great musician, a talented artist and a refined professional. He represents the best of modern music and the future of jazz. He’s well known around New York for his association with the great Dave Valentin.

Featuring Vaughn Henry, keys, Josh Allen, bass, Rodolfo Zuniga, drums, Jean Raymond, voudo drums, and Anthony Church, sax. Showtime 8 to 9:30 PM at MOCA, 770 NE 125th St, North Miami. FREE
