The 27th Annual AIDS Walk Miami is a 5K (3.1 miles) walk-a-thon fundraiser benefiting Care Resource and Food for Life Network Food Bank. All funds raised from AIDS Walk Miami are used in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties to help our diverse communities in need. The Walk starts outside the Miami Beach Convention Center and ends at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens. Registration begins at 8:00am. The walk begins promptly at 9:00am.

For this year’s Walk, David Bromstad, American designer and television personality has been chosen as Grand Marshal and Robbin Simmons, Emmy award-winning reporter and co-anchor of the weekend editions of Channel 7 News at 5, 6 and 10 with Jeff Lennox, has been chosen as the Master of Ceremonies.

According to Jonathan Welsh, Marketing and Development Manager with Care Resource, “As new HIV infection rates in Miami-Dade and Broward still rank the highest in the nation, all the awareness we can obtain about the Walk will help mobilize the community to step up and do what they can to reduce this epidemic.“
