This year this multicultural art fair will debut the BET Art Lounge, featuring BET’s top talent. Talent will host screenings, panels, and community workshops highlighting “Art is Life” as a central theme.

Fusion MIA kicks off the week with Play To Win Foundation’s photo exhibit, Through My Lens, featuring the emotional and artistic photographs by 25 high school students from the inner city.

Fusion presents Art Is Life Youth Talk (Private)
Local High school students will participate in a panel to discuss the power of art . The Panel will be hosted by Jumaane N´namde. Guest panelist will include Dr. Tuliza Fleming, curator of the National Museum of African American History and Culture at the Smithsonian Institution, Ted Lucas, CEO of Slip N Slide Records, CEO Debra Lee and Talent from BET.

The 2nd Annual Fly Beyond Awards dinner, honoring Smithsonian curator Dr. Tuliza Fleming, artist and African-American art historian and scholar David Driskell and BET CEO Debra Lee.
The event kicks off with a private BET pink carpet reception at 6:30 pm and flows into an awards dinner at 8:00 pm celebrating the lives and careers of Smithsonian curator Dr. Tuliza Fleming, artist and African-American art historian and scholar David Driskell and BET CEO Debra Lee for their “love and commitment to the Arts sponsored by Grey Goose.
For an evening of music, epicurean French cuisine, and exceptional people driven by a common passion for the arts. Attendees for the private dinner will include artists, collectors, curators, business professionals, taste makers, trendsetters and media. Beginning with an entry into a heavenly oasis of ice sculptures, and progressing into a global artist village, guests are immersed in the rich spirit of the African and Caribbean artists who have emerged from adversity to stake their claim among the masters. Highlights of the evening include special recognition honoring an iconic Artist. A special tribute by a celebrity recording artists who have defied all odds and transformed the world with their extraordinary vision in the areas of Visual Arts and Film.
