THE ART OF TRANSFORMATION SERIES: “ Powered by the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation (OLCDC), The Art of Transformation is an annual celebration of the rebirth of Opa-locka, Fla., Originally an inaugural, single evening in 2011 and the 2nd Annual in 2012 to honor Opa-locka’s historic past, celebrate its present, and envision its bright future, the Art of Transformation has “transformed” itself and evolved into one month of exciting multi-disciplinary artistic events around Miami-Dade County. Curated by Tumelo Mosaka, the 2014 series highlights how art is capable of encouraging urban and civic renewal.”
