AmeriCorps apprenticeship program can help get you on a pathway to further your education and career, while giving you skills to expand your influence and leadership skills.

Who We Select
Public Allies believes all young people, regardless of their background, where they live, or the barriers they face, have talent and can be assets. We believe everyone leads, and each year we choose people of widely diverse backgrounds to join our signature AmeriCorps program. On average, Allies are two-thirds people of color, 60% are female, 50% are college graduates, and 15% are LGBT. You must also be committed to making a difference.

Benefits
In addition, you’re eligible to receive:
– a monthly stipend of $1,500
– health care
– child care
– student loan deferment
– an education award of $5,550 after completing the program to pay back student – – loans or pay for future education
Requirements
To participate in the Public Allies program, you must:
– Be 17 years old and Up
– Have a high school diploma or GED
– Be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident
