The exhibition Which Way Out – Personal Thoughts Made Public, curated by Jill Slaughter showcases the compelling work of seven established artists who each interpret the struggle over sharing or keeping information private. Artists include Nestor Arenas, Randy Burman, Jacqueline Gopie, Donna Haynes, Philip Ross Munro, Lori Nozick, and Sara Stites.

Because members of the LBGT community must at some point make the decision to “come out” the exhibition also features the Homecoming Project. The city will partner with Live Out Loud, the New York gay rights support organization to host the project at the Pembroke Pines Charter High School.

The Homecoming Project enables successful members of the LGBT community to return to middle schools, high schools and colleges across the country to share their own coming out stories, and personal life lessons. Dialogues are sparked, and speakers offer inspiration to the next generation following in their footsteps.

The Gay-Straight Alliance club will welcome Davie native Tracy Wise, an accomplished advertising executive now living and working in New York City to speak at the charter school. Visual and/or literary work by the students will also be exhibited in Which Way Out.
