WALK like MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) celebrates its annual signature walk event with a kick-off party sponsored by AutoNation and La Croix. In more than 60 cities around the U.S., thousands of participants will walk – or dash! – in 5K events to bring awareness to the perils of drunk-driving. The Fort Lauderdale MADDchapter and donors will lace up their sneakers on Saturday, May 4 at Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale. In preparation of the big day, a kick-off party on Wednesday, March 5 will include a presentation on upcoming MADD events, a silent auction, a raffle, light bites and “mock-tails” created by La Croix.
